Non-congruent Alternate Interior Angles

I took this picture myself.

I took this picture myself in the Learning Recource Center with plastic knives I got in the Cafeteria. Knives are used in the food industry and other industrys, but I mainly think of them in the food industry. In purple I have highlighted the non-congruent alternate interior angles. The angles the knives have created are also not congruent because they have different measures.

Skew Lines

I took this picture myself.

This is a picture I took in the library, it's a picture of a wall near the check out desk and the book case filled with magazines near it. I have highlighted in green the skew lines in this picture. Skew lines are basically lines that have nothing to do with each other.

Adjacent Non-Supplementary Angles

I found this at: kennyswebsite.org
This is a picture of a metronome it is used in the music production industry to keep time and or a beat. In orange I have highlighted the non-supplementary adjacent angle. It isn't a supplementary angle because the two angles don't measure up to be 180 degrees.

Segment Bisector

I found this picture at: igreenspot.com

This is a picture of a plain, it falls under the aerospace industry. It is used to transport people, animals, and objects. I highlighted in yellow the segment that intersects the segments at its midpoint. A segment bisector bisects the segment at its midpoint.

Angel Bisector

I took this picture myself:

This is a picture of a book, its upside down, I'm not sure why. It is in the marketing and advertising industry because the best way to advertise it through publishing adds. I have noticed in all of the books I have read that they always advertise other books on the last few pages in the book, and every time I have wanted to read what they advertise. I have highlighted the angle bisector in this picture. This is an angle bisector because the middle line divided the acute angle into two congruent angles.

Supplementary Angle that are not a Linear Pair

I found this picture at: sodehaed.com

This is a supplementary angle (I highlighted the angle in red). this is a supplementary angle because the two angle measures added together create 180 degrees. Its not a linear pair because the angle is supplementary, if it were a linear pair, then it would be both. A supplementary angle can only be a supplementary angle, whereas for linear angles they are always both. The cell phone is classified under the category of information technology, because now a days the cell phone can be used to surf the Internet.

Congruent Acute Angles

I took this picture myself:

This is a picture of the accordion door that is used in the cafeteria. I have highlighted the angles that are congruent to each other. The angles are congruent obtuse angles because they have the same measure and have a measure greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

Vertical Angles

I took this picture myself:

This is a picture of a water color painting I found in the library. I was made by a Severn student in an art class and the vertical angle help separate the different pictures while keeping them on one page. I have highlighted the vertical angles in the picture in brown. It is a vertical angle because their sides form two pairs of opposite rays.

Coplanar Parallel Lines

I found this at: theoldhouseguy.com/shutters

This is a picture of a window, it is used in any building. I chose this picture off the Internet because it had more than three parallel coplanar lines (some of the coplanar parallel lines I highlighted with purple) and it also has a background of more than three parallel coplanar lines.

Line Perpendicular to a Plane

 found this picture at: atlanticfurniture.com

This bookshelf is the perfect example for lines perpendicular to a plane. The shelves in the book case are perpendicular to the book case plane. Book shelves are used in libraries, houses, stores, and in business offices.
